Mom-Versations Guest Policy

 

Thank you for your interest in being a guest on Mom-Versations.
This series is built on intentional storytelling and aims to create a respectful, thoughtful space for sharing lived experiences.

To help things run smoothly, please review the following guidelines before booking:
 

1. Booking & Recording

Participation in Mom-Versations is by invitation.

  • Recording sessions are scheduled in advance and may run up to three hours, including setup, preparation, and filming.

  • Guests are required to arrive camera-ready at the recording location (Durham College Campus) at least 45 minutes before their scheduled time to allow for technical setup and preparation.

  • If you need to reschedule, please provide a minimum of 4 days' notice.
     

2. Media Release & Consent

By confirming your participation, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • Your interview will be recorded in audio and video formats.

  • You grant permission for your name, likeness, voice, and personal story to be used in connection with Mom-Versations content.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • YouTube and other video platforms

  • Social media platforms

  • Audio platforms such as Spotify and Apple Podcasts

  • Promotional and marketing materials

Submission or participation does not guarantee publication.
 

3. Ownership & Intellectual Property

All recorded materials, including final edits and any derivative content (such as clips, quotes, graphics, or promotional assets), are the intellectual property of Kristina McPherson (14499484 Canada Inc.) and As Told by Canadian Immigrants.
 

4. Editing & Distribution

By participating, you agree that your interview may be:

  • Edited for clarity, length, and narrative cohesion

  • Distributed across multiple platforms

  • Repurposed for future content, including compilations and promotional materials

All efforts will be made to ensure your story is represented accurately and respectfully.
 

5. Monetization

Mom-Versations may include sponsorships, brand partnerships, affiliate content, or paid advertisements.
 

These may appear within:

  • Episodes

  • Social media content

  • Platform descriptions (e.g., YouTube, podcast show notes)

Any such integrations will not alter or misrepresent your story and will be disclosed where required.
 

6. Compensation

Participation in Mom-Versations is voluntary.


Guests will be credited when their stories are shared; however, financial compensation is not provided unless explicitly agreed upon in writing before recording.
 

7. Respect & Boundaries

Your comfort and well-being are a priority.

  • You are encouraged to share any topics you prefer not to discuss in advance via the intake form.

  • The interview environment is intended to be respectful, supportive, and non-exploitative.

 

8. Agreement

By scheduling and participating in your interview, you confirm that:

  • You have read and understood this policy

  • You consent to being recorded and to the use of your content as outlined above

  • You understand that your interview may be edited and distributed for educational, inspirational, and commercial purposes
