Arriving and Adjusting
I arrived in Canada and immediately started school. By November, I completed my studies and applied for my post-graduation work permit, navigating the immigration process without the support of Express Entry.
2015
Overcoming Setbacks
Submitted my Express Entry profile twice and faced rejections both times. After waiting for my one-year anniversary in Canada, I reapplied and was finally invited to apply for permanent residency.
2016
Becoming a Permanent Resident
Officially became a permanent resident of Canada, a major milestone that allowed me to visit my family in Jamaica.
2018
Applying for Citizenship
Applied for Canadian citizenship, taking the final steps to fully establish my life in Canada.
2019
Becoming a Citizen
Became a Canadian citizen and launched my YouTube channel, "As Told by Canadian Immigrants," to empower others on their immigration journey.
